Sony had announced it new Sony Reader called PRS-700, it has interactive touch screen display that allows the user to flop through pages by sliding your finger across the touch screen with a virtual keyboard to create notes or activate the bookmark. Sony Reader also equipped with LED light that will allow you to read in the dark and very poor lighting not the backlight.

You can also create annotations with a virtual keyboard, highlight text with a stylus pen, search for text in your digital book, and easily adjust the font size. Sony Reader is a companion for college students. The new reader is modeled after the PRS-505, and sports all the same features including a high-resolution six-inch electronic display, pre-set text sizes, internal memory that can hold 350 digital books, multiple file format support, and a an expansion slot to increase storage. Sony’s new Reader Digital Book does not have wireless connectivity like the Kindle does, but that's a capability the company plans to add in upcoming versions. The selling price is about USD 400.00.
