Imagine having to search through all the different kinds of files when all you need is a specific file type.Here’s a neat little trick that will help you in searching files by its type. Type an asterisk and a period followed by the file extension of the file you are looking for: example *.doc for word document.
By doing this Windows will only search specifically the file type that you had entered and this will narrow down the search.
